Revelation 3:7-22 Jesus holds the keys of David that can open the doors that no man can shut, and He also can shut the doors that no man can open. Often I have prayed for Jesus to go ahead of me and open the doors no man can shut and to close the doors no man can open. Jesus holds the keys to our future, and we need to release our future to Him. I am praying for the employment of one of my friends now, and I am praying that Jesus will use these powerful keys to open or close doors for her future job.
We so often try to force doors open. It is a part of our nature to sometimes go ahead of the Lord, and when we do, we miss His best. Things usually work out much better when we are willing to wait upon the Lord and allow Him to be the one to prepare the way for us.
When our Russian son was interviewing for jobs, I prayed for the Lord to open the doors for him and to close any doors to jobs that would not be a good match for him. I also prayed that he would be led to the job where he could produce the most fruit for the Lord. God desires for us to be fruitful, and He has a way of placing us in the right place at the right time where we can be the most fruitful.
Whenever we see a change of locations or jobs coming our way, that is the time we need to commit our way to the Lord. He leads us in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. He wants us to be His righteous representatives in a place where our witness will cause many to come into His kingdom. Promotion does not come from the east or west. It comes from the Lord. Maybe His plan for you is even to promote you into a position where you will have a deeper impact and influence on many more lives. God is after people, not position. Rest assured if you commit your way to Him, He will bring His will to pass in your life. His will is that you will be fruitful and multiply (fruitful in your witness so souls will be multiplied into His kingdom).
Lord, help me to trust You to go ahead of me to prepare the way. You know what is best for me. Thank You for putting me in the right place at the right time today.
