Through a difficult season of infertility, Charlotte Gambill chose to sow seeds of life and hope into others. When the pandemic spread across the globe, we faced change in our everyday choices and unfamiliar restrictions. Yet, that season reminded Charlotte that we still have the power to choose. What started with her talking to herself on an iPhone became a gathering point for people all over the world to daily join in and together choose faith over fear, connection over isolation, and trust in the trials.
Charlotte chose to provide baby showers and gifts for new moms during her own painful season of infertility. Now the grateful mom to Hope Cherish and Noah Brave, she offers this wisdom on a recent episode of Make Life Matter on the Charisma Podcast Network:
“In every sorrow, there is a seed that you get to plant in your tomorrow. A lot of times, we are so aware of the sorrow, we miss the seed. I believe that anything that happens to us that’s a trial, God can use something in that as a testimony to help someone else. He can use that to plant a different harvest for our future. In the midst of all of that, therefore, for me, I had a mindset of, ‘I wish I didn’t have to go through it. I really am not happy that I’m going through it. I’m kind of a little angry with God that I have to do this journey. But if I have to do it, I’m going to make it pay.’ Not knowing what the outcome was going to be, I was like, ‘I can either be in this season and just be miserable and just write this season off as disappointment and unfulfilled dreams, angry and frustrated. Or, I can instead decide in this season, though I’m not getting what I desire, I will draw out of it a lesson that actually will be something I use to make me better in the future.'”
