When You Wonder if God Doesn’t Care, Here’s What You May Have Missed

Note: this is part two of a podcast series. Listen to part one here.

Armstrong says the story of Daniel, among others, is “a picture of a life lived, and a posture of how we can be abiding in Christ, no matter the circumstances that we may find ourselves in.” This exact principle is the foundation for this episode of the Remnant Voice Podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network, one that Jason Armstrong believes to be vital to the growth of not only our personal spiritual walks, but that of the kingdom as well.

Unless we are abiding in Him, Armstrong, says the danger comes when things don’t go our way and we wonder if God even cares about us. But, when this happens, it’s not God’s fault. Actually, Armstrong says the fault is ours, because we didn’t do our part “to co-labor with Christ.”

Armstrong uses 1 John 2:26 as a basis for understanding the gravity of the situation. It says, “these things I’ve written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you see, deception is always knocking at the door.” Armstrong says it’s on your TV, it’s on the magazines, it’s on the internet, it’s on social media—deception is always out there. But, he reads from verse 27a, “As for you, the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you,” so therefore we can trust in the seeds the Lord is planting through our abiding in Him to keep us from deception.

Armstrong says “the proof that you have the capacity to abide is the evidence of the Spirit within you” so you can be a living example of the Lord to those you encounter. Listen to the full podcast to truly understand how imperative abiding with the Spirit is for the growth of the kingdom. {eoa}
