It was the most agonizing night of my life, but soon it would become the most glorious. I could not sleep. I felt as though someone had stuck a dagger in my heart. The pain of my sinful life and the loss of my dreams had brought me to this point of despair.
In desperation I cried out to Jesus to take my life. I did not want it any more. In an instant, Jesus Christ came into my room and, for the first time, I met Him as my Lord and Savior. He surrounded me with a cloud of love that took away my sins and the emotional pain that had imprisoned me in its chains of bondage.
This began my journey with Jesus 40 years ago. He has taken me from being a Simon to a Peter. He has done with my life far more than I could have ever done with it. I have traveled to five continents to share the love of Jesus in huts, along mountain paths, in small churches, in open fields where churches would be planted, in living rooms, in large churches, in conferences and classrooms, with the poorest of the poor to the wealthy and the rich.
The joy and blessings of my travels with Jesus have overwhelmed me with His love and goodness. In my podcast, Awaken on the Charisma Podcast Network, I welcome you to join me in sharing our lives through God’s call to go to the world, to the nations, to the church, to Israel and to our local communities to proclaim the salvation of Jesus Christ.
We come to know His love and the treasures of heaven, to learn how to live in this season of preparation for His return. We learn to live out this life of victory that will please our Father and help gather into His kingdom those He has ordained to be His children forever.
There is nothing greater than to know our Father’s love and to know the love of Jesus. This love inspires us to love others as Jesus loved. I have learned much and am still learning on my journey with Jesus and my Father. Come join me as we live out this wonderful adventure of love, faith and hope.
