Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. —John 12:24
Archaeologists found seeds stored in the tomb of the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamen when it was opened in 1922. Those seeds were planted and watered, and they grew and bore fruit.
Your finances are like that seed. They have miracle-working power and resurrection potential inside them. Although a seed dies when planted, it resurrects itself and bears fruit. What you hold onto will never multiply. But let go and allow that seed to die. Then it will multiply abundantly bringing a bountiful harvest for both the Lord and you.
God’s anointing is on the seed. The seed has life inside itself; it is only waiting for someone to plant it.
Consider a kernel of corn. Inside that kernel is the stalk, the ears, and the grain. You cannot see them now, but they are there. You can count the number of kernels on a corn cob, but you cannot number the ears of corn in one seed. Only God knows the abundant potential of the harvest. You sow and trust the harvest to Him. The seed in your hand has the potential to produce abundantly.
Lord, grant me the trust in You to sow generously, having
faith in Your harvest. Let my seed die so
that Your seed may live. Amen.
