People are trying to fill the void of joy in their lives with all the simulation of the world. Many are willing to try anything but the Spirit of the Lord … and that void in their hearts … was placed there by our Creator and it was formed in such a fashion that He is the only one that can fill it!
Your spouse can’t fill it…
Your house can’t fill it…
Your pets can’t fill it….
Your new car, boat or motorcycle can’t fill it…
Sex and sleeping around can’t fill it…
Your alcohol and/or drugs can’t fill it…
Going out dancing at the club can’t fill it…
And getting lost in your career won’t fill it either…
It’s NOT in another lover … and another marriage and another marriage that you need!
You can keep running after these things over and over and over again…
But it will never be enough to fill you!
Only in His presence can you be filled.
The more intimacy you have with the Lord Jesus Christ, the more you will connect with your spouse! The truth of it is that you don’t even know who you are until you know Him because your very identity is only found in Him. The more you love the Spirit of the Lord, the more you will love your spouse … because you will see them the way God sees them!
There is a spiritual hole so deep in your Spirit … that can only be filled by the Holy Spirit and the joy that God brings! We have to make room for Him. We’ve got to turn it all off, turn off the stimulation from this world and intentionally give space for Him to speak and for us to be still so we can hear Him and be filled with His anointing, His revelation, His love and His insight.
The Spirit of the Living God could be right in the room bringing the answers you need for your business, your household, your marriage. He could be right there singing songs of deliverance over you, but because you are in a hurry, so absorbed in other things… you miss Him!
“In His Presence, there is Fullness of Joy and at His Right Hand, there is Pleasures Forevermore!”
God loves to answer our prayers that our joy is full; that we have a testimony of His goodness on our lips.
And every child of God should have a special type of joy in their hearts….
This joy is the joy of our salvation!
