For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. —1 CORINTHIANS 4:15
Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad. A father is not a father just because he can produce a child. To be a true father he must also love, protect and provide for his child.
God says, “I am your Father and I am responsible for you. I have a plan for you.” Like a loving dad, He will make whatever sacrifice is necessary to see His child birthed into and advanced in His kingdom.
God sacrificed His Son to protect and provide for you. He caused the heavens to go black and smote His Son because He knew the day would come when you bowed your knee to say, “Lord, I need you.”
God not only wants to meet your material needs, but He desires to bring you fully into the abundant life of His kingdom. Abundance begins not with material blessings but the blessings of His presence and favor. In His presence is life. Apart from His presence is death. In His presence is blessing. Outside of His presence is curse. Abundance springs from resting in His grace and presence.
Lord, I desire You more than anything, even life itself.
You are my life and my strong tower. I am filled
with thanksgiving for every good gift from Your hand. Amen.
