In what areas of life are you lacking breakthrough? Are you praying for a financial miracle, or a healing?
I’m not sure what you are contending for — maybe there are dreams and desires in your heart that have not yet come to pass. Throughout the timeline of our lives, there are always areas for which we are standing in the gap. It could be a prophetic word about your destiny or to see a lost family member come to know Jesus.
For many people it’s probably a myriad of things.
I think there are moments in life when we can see ourselves praying and believing for any one of these areas. Truthfully, there are probably more areas than we can count. What I’ve found throughout Scripture is that what you are believing to reap is what you must first sow.
Genesis 26:12-13 (NIV) says, “Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.”
Isaac first had to step out in faith and plant the crops in the fields before he would see the harvest. How can there be a harvest if there isn’t first a seed planted in the ground? When the word of the Lord comes to you and tells you to do something, you don’t always see the results. I feel strongly in this season that the Lord is telling us to go out and plant and sow into the fields of harvest we want to reap from.
We are coming into the end-time billion-soul harvest, and there must be a church that is ready to sow in abundance to see the whole earth filled with the glory of God. Isaac planted crops in the land and in the same year reaped a hundredfold return because the Lord blessed him. If you want God to bless the work of your hands, then sow into what He has put before you.
Maybe you’re reading this and you have been standing for a long time to see a healing in your body come to pass. Let me ask you, how many people are you praying for to see them healed? Are you praying for healing for your neighbor or the person you see in the grocery store? Start sowing seeds of healing to those around you and watch what God will do in your life. The same can be said for your family member. Maybe you have a prodigal son or daughter and you are praying God sends someone to share the gospel with them. Are you doing this in your daily life for the other prodigal children out there?
This truly is much easier than we sometimes realize. When you give, it is given unto you. The Bible says it is your Father’s great pleasure to give you the kingdom. (See Luke 12:32.) Sow into those fields of destiny today, and I am praying you reap a hundredfold return in Jesus’ name. {eoa}
