Too often people spend time trying to develop their weaknesses. Somehow they sense they are failing if they are not a person who excels 100 percent of the time in every area. Time is wasted when you are trying to excel in areas where you are not gifted. I haven’t met the person without any area of weakness, have you?
Weakness in an area merely reveals our need for one another. Put people around you who are gifted in areas where you need help. Connect with them. Delegate tasks to them. Be willing to trust them to get the job done. Both of you will go to a higher level and accomplish more than either of you will accomplish alone.
Now you are free to spend time identifying and developing your own strengths. Use your strengths and rejoice that someone else can do the part that you probably do not enjoy anyway. Life is too short to be miserable and waste your energy doing what you are not built to do. Now go have fun doing what you are created to do!
