Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. —Matthew 4:1
Surrender to the Holy Spirit is not a one-time occurrence that happens when we are born again. We must surrender daily, moment by moment.
It is easy to spot those who are yielding to the Holy Spirit and those who are not. A believer who is led by the Spirit will have victory over sin (Galatians 6:15), power to witness (Acts 1:8), and will possess the fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
A Spirit-controlled life does not happen overnight. It takes patience and submission. It requires obedience, and it demands confession of our sins.
Today and every day give your life back to God as a living sacrifice and surrender your life to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and control.
Keep me yielded today, O Lord. Give me
patience. Expose my sins. I repent of
every sin and desire to obey every
word You speak. Amen.
