Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. —John 21:25
The Bible does not record all possible divine or legitimate supernatural activities and experiences that have occurred or may yet occur among men and nations. Rather, it records examples of divine activity and legitimate supernatural experiences that fall into broader categories that are typical of how the Holy Spirit works. This concept is taught in John 21:25, in which John states that if all the wonderful works that Jesus did had been recorded, all the books in the world could not contain them. The Bible nowhere teaches that God is bound to do only what He has done before. In fact, there are many prophecies of Scripture that speak of God doing things He has never done before. One friend of ours has said, “God has this problem, you see—He thinks He’s God!” Truly, He is God, and He can do anything He wants to.
