Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.” —Luke 7:44-47
Some have such a dim view or low appreciation for both the holiness and love of God that the cross does not seem that significant. They understand neither the greatness of their need nor the glory of God’s gift. Jesus taught that the one who has been forgiven much will love much. You will “love much” when you begin to comprehend the magnitude of what Christ has done on your behalf.
{ PRAYER STARTER }
My heart overflows with love for You, dear Jesus. There is no one on Earth who loves me as You do. I have so much to thank You for, and I give my life to serving and loving You because of what You did for me.
Passion is birthed in you by revelation
of the knowledge of God.
