And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. —2 Corinthians 3:18
In Old Testament times, veiling the face was a way of signifying the great gulf between a person and God and the need for a mediator. God through Christ has invited us to come fearlessly to His throne of grace (Heb. 4:16). We come without a sense of condemnation or accusation because Christ took our penalty and gave us the gift of righteousness. We can open our hearts to the Lord and speak plainly of our failures, hurts, disappointments, fears, and frustrations.
{ PRAYER STARTER }
Jesus, it is because of Your gift of righteousness that I can come boldly before the throne of grace. I pray that You continue to transform me into Your likeness and image.
We behold the glory of Jesus with unveiled faces.
