Popular worship band Jesus Culture teamed up with Martin Smith of Delirious? to release a new double cd today.
The seventh full-length recording from Jesus Culture, Jesus Culture With Martin Smith: Live From New York, releases Nov. 20. The 16-track album was recorded live during Jesus Culture’s conference at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island this past summer. The double-CD captures a dynamic collaboration of voices who have helped shape, and continue to inspire, generations of worshippers.
The new album features the worship team’s veterans like Kim Walker-Smith and Chris Quilala, joined by Martin Smith from the band Delirious?. Martin Smith will sing old classics and new favorites combined with Quilala’s originals, “Forevermore” and “Alleluia,” Walker-Smith singing Daniel Bashta’s “Pursuit,” and a bonus track, “I Belong To You,” written and sung by Derek Johnson, you’ll remember him from Jesus Culture’s Emerging Voices album. The cd also captures Jesus Culture’s signature call to intimate worship and bold praise along with thousands of worshippers’ voices representing an international community of believers.
“Intense, powerful and spiritually filled, this project has it all … this is perhaps the best worship album ever recorded,” says NewReleaseTuesday.com. “It is amazing from the first song to the last one, and you can sense the presence of God really moving and using the lead worshippers and all the singers and musicians.”
This December, Jesus Culture’s Chris Quilala reunites with Martin Smith again to take their worship and message to Manchester, U.K. for their first young leaders’ gathering, Jesus Culture Outpouring on Dec. 3-5.
