The denomination’s new music label showcases the distinct worship rising from AG churches
With its first CD releasing during the Assemblies of God’s General Council this year, Influence Music marks a significant return of the denomination to the Christian music scene. The new worship label is ramping up to release 10 albums in the next year, each of which highlights a distinct sound from AG worship leaders around the country.
“God is raising up a generation of worship leaders who are creating new, dynamic and Spirit-inspired music right in our local AG churches,” says George O. Wood. “It’s an exciting time. Our goal is to bring those songs to the global church to be shared and celebrated and to help unite us in worship.”
The inaugural project, entitled We Believe, releases Aug. 6 in partnership with Integrity Music and includes original songs from worship pastors Ryan Williams (River Valley Church in the Twin Cities, Minn., area), Clayton Brooks (The Oaks Fellowship in the Dallas area) and Kurtis Parks (National Community Church in Washington, D.C.). It also features performances from Micah Massey, Elmer Cañas Jr. and Integrity recording artist Christine D’Clario.
