What will you do in the floodplains when you can hardly make it in the land of peace?
“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?” (Jer. 12:5).
I fear that most churches in America have not prepared their people well for the hard times we are now in as a nation and, more importantly, for what is to come. Many believers have fallen back during this current plandemic and have bowed down to the golden image of King Nebby and his evil administration, otherwise known as the swamp creatures of Washington, D.C. Weak leaders make for a weak nation and destroy the world, while a weak church fails to prepare its people to stand in such times.
“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small” (Prov. 24:10).
Are You Part of the Underground Church of America?
Only the underground church of America and the West will be ready for the gross darkness and the intensifying clash between good and evil that is upon us. In 1950, Dad Hagin (the late Kenneth E. Hagin) received an awesome vision of what I believe was World War III. He saw multitudes of men marching off to war, while old women and young mothers with babies were bent over in agony and weeping profusely. Are we there? It’s very possible. One thing is for sure: We are closer than ever before. But I am not shaken by that, because Jesus foretold these things.
“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places” (Matt. 24:6-7, NKJV).
These are the beginning of sorrows and like a woman in labor, contractions of a world without God. We can see and feel the evidence of these birth pangs, with the contractions becoming more frequent. But for the saints who make up what the Lord termed, in a personal word to me, as “My underground church of America,” I dare say it is our finest hour, where we will together reap the greatest harvest in the history of mankind, both here and around the globe.
The underground churches are those churches that the “system of unbelief” cannot touch and spoil. The system of unbelief speaks of those more loyal to their traditions, progressive philosophies, attendance, buildings, money and the wisdom of men than the Word of God and the Spirit and power of God. Attraction churches who depend on their marketing efforts to draw crowds would fall under that category. Obviously the mainline and denominational churches are a part of this aforementioned system of unbelief, but the more subtle deception among professing believers is happening in these modern churches who are moving rapidly toward progressive Christianity.
Signs of a Progressive Church
1. There is a diminished respect and esteem for the Bible as the living Word of God.
2. Opinions, feelings and the flow of modern culture are emphasized more than the Bible.
3. Foundations of the faith and basic Christian doctrine are questioned and challenged.
4. Sweet-tooth messages are embraced, and anything in the way of warnings and rebukes is spurned.
5. Social justice has replaced the vital themes of sin and redemption.
I wouldn’t normally say this, but because of the critical hour we are in, I will: If these characteristics even partially describe the church you are part of, prayerfully consider leaving it to find God. You cannot remain in an atmosphere of unbelief and tradition, void of the true nature of God, where the full counsel of His Word is compromised and rejected, and be ready for what is coming on the earth and even here in America. It is time to evaluate our relationship with God and get serious about why we are serving Him.
And while I’m on this subject of helping you to be fully prepared for these tumultuous times, if your church even closely resembles a nightclub or a graveyard, you had better pray about coming out from among them and being separate, and finding a community where Jesus is Lord and the Spirit is active. {eoa}
Bert Farias‘ books are forerunners to personal holiness, the move of God and the return of the Lord. They also combat the departure from the faith and turning away from the truth we are seeing in this hour. Bert’s current passion is to promote a culture of the supernatural manifestations and ministries of the Holy Spirit in the church today and to pass it on to the next generation (Passing on the Move of God to the Next Generation). His newest release, now available on Kindle and on paperback, The Supernatural Church of Love and Power, is a simple blueprint for what the Lord Jesus is doing in His church today. Other materials/resources are available on his website, Holy Fire Ministries. You can also follow him personally on YouTube (Holy Fire Ministries), Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
