READ:Â Matt. 10:37-39; Matt. 16:24-27; Luke 14:25-33; Rom. 5:1-5; 1 Cor. 1:18-31; Gal. 6:14-18.
HEART ISSUE: Survey the past year. Can you observe the gains that were made through your struggles?
PRAY: Father, thank You for the cross. Give us the courage to look upon it and embrace the value of suffering in our personal development and transformation. Help us when we attempt to turn away, for when we dismiss its horror, we cannot fully appreciate its glory.
Reveal to us all that the cross has to teach us. This day we totally embrace the lessons that apply not only to our salvation but also to our growth and discipline. We will hold Your cross before us and in our hearts. Amen.
