The Bible predicts a time of judgment is coming to the earth. As Christians, our response to tragedies like September 11 is crucial, because others are taking their cues from us.
READ: 2 Chr. 7:13-14; Is. 1:4-7; Is. 58:1-14; 1 Cor. 3:11-15; James 4:4-10; 1 Pet. 4:17-19.
HEART ISSUE: Have you been quick to condemn others who are suffering? Have you taken time to seek God’s perspective?
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, you are merciful even in judgment. Make my heart reflect yours toward those who suffer–identifying sin, but full of grace and hope for change. Amen.

God’s representatives must fear Him and avoid putting words in His mouth. If we recognize our continual need of His cleansing, He will help us speak rightly.
