Unity is all about discerning the body of Christ in all its expressions. Neither cultural preferences nor personal tastes should prohibit our embracing other brothers and sisters in Christ.
Disunity undermines our witness to the world, to unbelievers who cannot look past our lack of understanding and acceptance of one another. It is critical to the fulfillment of the Great
Commission that we begin to be more accepting and endorsing of one another based on the wealth of truth we have in common.

HEART ISSUE: The need for personal comfort sometimes can mask prejudiced attitudes. For the sake of Christ’s body, it is essential that we ask the Spirit of God to help us distinguish genuine doctrinal concerns from matters of personal sensibilities.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, show us the blindness in our thinking. Open our hearts to love all Your people fearlessly. Grant us discernment and a willingness to value one another and lay aside our personal preferences for the sake of Your kingdom. Amen.
