God is revealing His glory as never before, and in the year 2022, we will see this double glory expressed, with His light and power coming forth. The Gregorian calendar year 2022 lies within the Hebrew new year 5782, which began on Sept. 7, 2021.
This year of 2022 is a powerful year in the Lord and one in which God is preparing His people to carry double glory. The numbers 5-7-8-2 on the Hebrew calendar are biblical numbers that mean “grace,” “perfection,” “new beginnings” and “double portion.” In addition, the number 20 in 2022 represents a number of a cycle of completion, a time of waiting finished, and 22 often means “light and power.”
The Hebrew alphabet is made up of 22 letters, which is the word of God. This year of 2022 will be a year of double glory, the light and power of God coming forth. I believe Habakkuk 2:14 (KJV) is a key Scripture for Hebrew new year 5782 and Gregorian year 2022. This Scripture reads, “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” When we understand God’s plan for the release of the knowledge of His glory in the earth, we can prepare ourselves to become glory carriers on His behalf.
That word “glory” in the Hebrew is the word kabod, which means “the weighty presence of God, splendor and honor.” This is broken down to the word kabad, which means “weighty” in a good sense, “numerous,” “rich,” “honorable,” “abounding” as in reference to nobles or nobility.
As we learn of our kinsman redeemer’s weighty presence and His splendor and majesty, we will come to know His nobility and bow to it in the earthly realms. Psalm 24:7-10 states that the Lord is the King of glory.
This glory in Psalm 24:7-10 is the same word, kabod, broken down to kabad. We, as the King’s noble subjects, should be also preparing our hearts to be kingdom citizens, walking in the nobility of the King as those who represent Him. Like Him, we are glory carriers. Christ in you is the hope of glory (see Col. 1:27).
You may look in the mirror and say, “I am not one who can carry the glory of the Lord in this season of my life.” God does not expect you to do something; He expects you to yield to who He is and who you are in Him.
On the Hebrew calendar from Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 6, 2021, at sundown, to Passover next year on sundown, April 15, 2022, a double portion occurs. According to Joel 2:23 (KJV), in which the prophet Joel was speaking of the fall feasts, he says, “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” The former rain or spring rain goes from Passover to Rosh Hashanah on the Hebrew calendar, and the latter rain or fall rain goes from Rosh Hashanah to Passover the next year. We will get both rains from Rosh Hashanah 2021- Passover 2022!
Be encouraged. God is calling you to lift up your eyes and see the ancient gates open that the King of glory may come in. Yes, He calls you to see the King of glory with His weighty glory, with His kabod glory, coming in and truly touching us and making the difference in our lives. We want to make sure we properly position ourselves to be able to receive that glory.
You will step into a place with Him that is divine and holy. The experience of walking in God’s glory will carry you throughout the year. It’s a time of peace, a time of knowing God and trusting Him.
He is caring for us. He is covering us during this time. This time will also equip you to roar with His voice to make a difference in the earth. The knowledge of the glory of the Lord will be carried as the waters cover the sea.
God is preparing to use you mightily as a glory carrier in 2022. Grow in the knowledge of Him and you will grow in the knowledge of the glory, and we will see a double outpouring in 2022.
