On a recent episode of Through the Eyes of a Seer Prophet on the Charisma Podcast Network, host Jenna Winston is joined by Prophet Nate Johnston to discuss the struggles they’ve faced in their walk with the Lord, the doubts they’ve had as they’ve grown in their gifting of prophecy and how it is all orchestrated together in today’s culture.
Winston reflects on the time she spent doubting the gifts the Lord gave her and the ways in which she encountered Him. She says, “These epic things would happen, and it’s so crazy how every week when it came to testimony time, it seemed like I had something every week and this internal ‘what it would take for me to stand up and share’ was such an internal battle because I had to get out of my head.”
Winston says she assumed others were getting tired of what she thought was bragging. She started to believe the lie that others thought, Why does this girl always got to share? Why does she always got to be heard? When she stopped sharing, much to her surprise, the others in the group would ask, “Jenna, why aren’t you sharing anymore? We miss it.”
She says, “It raises my faith so much. It lets me know what’s possible.”
Nate Johnston comments that, “Kingdom sometimes doesn’t make sense.” There is nothing the enemy loves more than to make you doubt the call that God has placed on your life. When you’re walking with the Holy Spirit, you are better able to identify the traps the enemy sets for you.
