What do the coronavirus, the church and a vision of a house being stripped of paint have in common? A lot in my opinion.
Without a doubt, we are living in a very unique time in human history. The spirit of mediocrity is being drowned out of our nation and battle lines are being drawn between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. With a growing threat to the world’s health and economy, we can be sure that the enemy is at work.
The good news is, Jesus is as well, and His plan is far greater than what the enemy has planned. Whatever measure of darkness is established against the church, Jesus has long prepared a greater standard of glory against it.
While spending time with the Lord, I had a vision. I saw a house being stripped of multiple layers of thick paint. I could see a hand grabbing the thick layers and tearing them off until the beautiful wood siding of the house was revealed.
I believe the Lord is graciously stripping away unnecessary things from the church and is preparing to reveal the true sons and daughters of God that we read about in Romans 8:19. As the coronavirus falls, God is going to reveal and call the sons and daughters who have been hidden away to rise up.
These mighty fiery ones will be clothed in the glory of God through intimacy and revelation. These crowned ones are going to help spark an even greater fire and passion into the bride of Christ! They are the ones who have heard the knocking of the Lord from Revelation 3:20 and will be instrumental in this wave of revival that is here.
The greatest measure against the kingdom of darkness hasn’t been programs, buildings or trendy strategies. It’s a people who are deeply in love with Jesus and willing to be illuminated by Him, for His kingdom purposes.
