The Spirit of the Lord is moving upon His people, stirring to a holy provocation. He wants us to be provoked at the status quo in our lives spiritually, to be provoked over the evil in the world that is intent to destroy everything in line with God’s design.
I heard from the Spirit of the Lord, “Holy provocation is designed to bring concentration unto consecration leading to kingdom convocation.”
Holy Provocation: The Spirit of God provokes our conscience to remembrance of what He has told us to do. He stirs our spirit through conviction by the Logos or Rhema word; He blows upon the latent fire in our soul that has not yet been awakened when we see others moving in the things of the Spirit and realize there is something deep inside us that knows we too are called to greatness.
Concentration: He is moving, stirring, provoking us to bring about a concentration for His kingdom. There is a focused intent, a narrowing of interests, a drying up of our satisfaction in lesser things, a determination to move out of distractions, an effectual grace to step out from under the weights and rise above in overcoming power found through turning to the Lord Jesus Christ! This concentration on Christ produces intimacy with Him, which leads to consecration.
Consecration: Abiding in greater intimacy with the Lord, we are becoming set apart unto Him. When we spend more time on eternal things, the Eternal One becomes more real to us. As we recognize Him we cannot help but be willing to live a life of consecration. He is the Holy One, our Creator, the Lover of our souls, the One who inhabits all of eternity, yet chooses to dwell with us and in us.
Kingdom Convocation: Consecration unto the Lord brings about a nation of kings and priests—a spiritual nation that works hand in hand with the angelic hosts. As we abide in the Lord and speak what He says, the angels move to bring it to pass. God will bring about a kingdom convocation—a gathering, an assembling—unto the city of the Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. The writer of the book of Hebrews exhorts us to raise our sights higher in chapter 12:22-29, and to recognize the importance of responding to Holy provocation.
