The Lord brought back to my mind a dream that I had in 2004. I dreamt I was standing in an abundant wheat field when God spoke to me and said, “Famine is coming to the land.” Moreover, He continued to speak to me, saying, “Do not worry or fear. I am raising up many Josephs to save My people, not just one or two but many. I have prepared them for this hour and you will see Me move in an unprecedented way.”
I shared my dream with several people trying to get the accurate interpretation. I thought at the time, having been through the 9-11 terror attacks, the dream could be referring to another terror attack that would unlock the rise of Josephs. However, I believe we are now in the hour where those with the Joseph anointing will arise on the scene.
I fully realize the “unknown” can cause fear, anxiety and even panic, but do not allow fear to grip you. Fear is a spirit and you must resist it. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7, KJV). The Greek word used for “sound mind” means “discipline that is self-control.”
What this verse is saying is that you have the power to fight against the spirit of fear by disciplining your mind. To defeat the spirit of fear and possess a sound mind, Paul instructed you that your weapons are not carnal but are supernatural. You must fight with spiritual weapons that are mighty through God, realizing the battlefield begins in your mind.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:3-5).
We are living in a day in which we are being inundated with reports that cause fear. The enemy wants God’s sons and daughters hidden away, muzzled and silenced by this tormenting spirit. The good news is this—God is moving behind the scenes, bringing forth a new breed of soldiers to the forefront! Like Joseph, they have been trained by being thrown into the pit and hidden away in the prisons but now it is their hour to arise. This new breed will be Josephs who refuse to compromise. They won’t care about the high cost they will pay to stay true to God.
I believe the word God spoke to me in 2004 regarding famine coming to the land is that which we are experiencing today. The pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, the interruption of supply chains, racial and political strife, division, inflation and the list goes on and on. Don’t forget the last part of the prophetic word that He gave to me, which was greatly comforting to me. He said, “Don’t fear. I am raising up many Josephs to save My people.”
Joseph gave a prophetic instruction that saved God’s people from extermination. When God used Moses to bring the plagues upon Egypt, He put a division between Goshen and the rest of Egypt. Goshen was protected. God always raises up deliverers for His people. Another example of this would be Elijah. While amid famine because of wicked Jezebel and King Ahab, God caused ravens to feed the prophet at the brook Cherith. After the brook dried up, God sent him to a widow who was used to sustain him. Her obedience released the blessing of multiplication in the area of food and health upon her household. My point is this: God will take care of His children!
We are in a spiritual battle. Do not allow Satan to cause you to lose heart and be tormented with fear. He has already been defeated and God has given us the VICTORY. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Combat fear with the Word of God. Fill yourself up with His Word. PRAY according to God’s Word. Sickness, torment, lack: these are all things from the devil. Wholeness (nothing missing, nothing broken) is your portion.
Don’t allow the enemy’s opposition to make you embrace fear and lose your grip on the Word that God has promised you.
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised);” (Heb. 10:23).
“Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials” (James 1:2, AMP).
In the verse above, the word translated “joy” means “calm delight.” Stay calm when you are surrounded by trials, knowing that He is faithful that promised you the victory.
Get ready! We are about to see the greatest harvest that we have ever seen! {eoa}
