As our world seems to be heading into a very crucial and kairos time, it leaves one to ponder what is actually on the horizon.
Like most believers, I looked recently into the Bible, the infallible Word of God for answers. Then I ran across two Scriptures that are contradicting to one another and completely on opposite ends of the spectrum. Now I know the Word is 100 percent accurate so I looked closer into these two Scriptures about the last days.
The first Scripture is about perilous times, one translation says difficult times while another says terrible times in the last days. This is the Scripture a lot of the doom and gloom people choose to pick and believe in. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says, “Know this: In the last days perilous times will come. Men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, slanderers, unrestrained, fierce, despisers of those who are good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying its power. Turn away from such people” (MEV).
When you read this passage, you can look at the world around us and say yes that is very true. Just watch the news or go onto social media and you will get down and frustrated at mankind. Now, lets look at this other Scripture in Acts. I like this definition of the last days a lot more. Acts 2:17 says, “‘In the last days it shall be,’ says God, ‘that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams'” (MEV).
So, there you have it ladies and gentlemen; we have doom and gloom versus outpouring.
I don’t know which camp you are in, but I choose to walk in the camp of the people who are contending for revival and awakening in America. I believe we are so close to an outpouring of God’s power and presence. See, my friends these two Scriptures are both very accurate.
The question I have for you is which one are you going to believe in and which one are you believing for? The Lord spoke to me recently about leaning more unto my spiritual ear than my natural eye. There will be perilous times and there will be outpouring going on at the same time.
I’ve counseled people recently who are scared to death about the future and the way the world is headed. I’ve had people in my office recently who are so excited about God and all the things they feel like is about to happen with the church of America. These people are believing for outpouring.
A good biblical example would be Noah. There were a few people in the ark who were safe, but there were a lot who got caught up by the great flood. The difference is the ones who heard from the Lord were safe. The same is for today. Many will be carried away by the things of the world, while others will be safe and experience one of the church’s finest hours.
When I’m in my private prayer closet with God, I feel like He is about to do a work in the church of America and around the world that will change the course of history forever. I’ve never been more excited and honored to be a minister of the gospel. We are currently experiencing outpourings of his Spirit in America in revival hubs and hotspots all across our land. This is only the beginning of what some would call the Third Great Awakening.
