Steffany Gretzinger announced Sunday that she is leaving Bethel Church in Redding, California, to move to Nashville with her family. On the evening of Easter Sunday, she performed her final worship set at Bethel and was then prayed for and prophesied over by the church’s leadership team. The goodbye, which was streamed live by Bethel on YouTube, starts around 14 minutes in and lasts roughly six minutes.
As she received the flowers, Gretzinger tearfully thanked Bethel Church.
“I want to say thank you for all of your grace to grow into the many versions of me,” she said. “I’ve been a lot of versions since I was here. And I just want to say thank you for making room for me to dance. For always making room and extending grace in the seasons and being so kind to like take the lid off and trust that what you see, you see purity and truth, and you inspect fruit. And I’m so grateful that you saw me, and you made room for me. I’m forever grateful, and this is home to me. You’re home to me.”
Pastor Bill Johnson then led the church in prayer for Gretzinger.
“Father, we’re just thankful for every chance we have to see someone who burns for you,” Johnson said. “… Thank you for that flame, that fire that was first in your eyes and then in her heart. We thank you for this. And I ask that you would prosper every step they take in entering into more fully into who you’ve called them to be. This household, this family would go forth blessed. Bring great breakthrough, great strength to the people of God, great demonstrations of power and purity.”
Kris Vallotton, cofounder of the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, also shared a prophetic word with Gretzinger.
“I see that you’re going to be a catalyst to a Great Awakening in Nashville,” Vallotton said. “And I believe there’s a great awakening coming, even among the secular music industry, and I believe that you’re going to have a surprising impact on people who you don’t yet know.”
