Christian musician and Skillet drummer Jen Ledger says she used to think all Christians were hypocrites, based on the church she grew up in. But then she had a radical encounter with the Holy Spirit, according to a 2013 video in which Ledger shares her testimony. She says she was dragged to church camp when she was 15, and during worship she found herself in tears.
“All of a sudden, I’m sensing that God’s on me,” Ledger says. “He’s real. He’s asking me to come forward right now. I don’t know what to do, because I don’t want to and I hate these people and they’re all liars. And I don’t know what to do. I remember them saying, ‘If you feel like you were meant to do something with music in your life, then come forward.’
“And all of a sudden I’m at the front and I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m weeping. Someone’s praying for me and pushing me over on the floor. … It was just really a bizarre moment where God moved on me. I don’t know what was happening, but it was real. And then directly after, this prophet calls me to the front and basically tells me that I’ve got to change my life in front of this room of hundreds of people.”
The next year, Ledger moved to the United States and enrolled at Living Light School of Worship, a charismatic Bible school in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Watch the video to hear her full testimony.
