Pastor Kyle Winkler says when you inevitably get attacked with spiritual warfare, you have to be ready to declare the promises of Scripture over your life to combat it. Satan will try to come and question what you know about the Bible; are you ready for that?
“I had to start to declare, ‘I am God’s righteousness,'” Winkler says. “And this is a work of spiritual warfare: The devil will come with his arsenal of evidence from your life of feelings, fears and failures and try to say, ‘Oh, are you really a Christian? Did you really get changed? Is this who you really are?’ to try to talk you out of it.
“… You have to push through those ghosts in the past, you have to push through the things people have said about you, you have to push through all those feelings and you have to say ‘I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ and put on the rest of the character of Christ while you’re at it. ‘I am made new, I am complete, God chose me for a good plan long before the world began.'”
