Around the world, antisemitism is growing once again at an alarming rate. As a Jew, this isn’t surprising, as every few hundred years the Jewish people become the scapegoat for some group of people. What does surprise me is the number of Christians who are joining their voices with those standing against Israel—Christians who, for some reason, have accepted the lies promoted by the liberal media that say Israel is occupying land that belongs to Arab people.
For the life of me, I can’t understand how these Christians who reject the lies of the liberal media when they promote abortion up to and including after birth, when they promote gay marriage, when they promote transgenders participating on sports teams of the gender of their choice, when they promote racism and/or socialism, when they promote Black Lives Matter or Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, but for some reason, when this same liberal media promotes these lies of anti-Israelism and antisemitism, these same Christians swallow those lies hook, line and sinker.
Yet, I should not be surprised, after all, when my grandparents’ generation were sent to their death in cattle cars by the Nazis, the majority of Christians at best stood silent, and at worst marched along, participating in the attempted extermination of the Jewish people.
So, let me say this as loud and clear as possible: If you call yourself a Christian, your faith rests upon the teachings of a Jew. Your faith is built upon the writings of Jews, both the Old and New Testaments. According to Paul, the apostle to the Gentile nations:
“Therefore, keep in mind that once you—Gentiles in the flesh—were called ‘uncircumcision’ by those called ‘circumcision’ (which is performed on flesh by hand). At that time you were separate from Messiah, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world” (Eph. 2:11-12, TLV).

And in Romans 11:17-21: “But if some of the branches were broken off and you—being a wild olive—were grafted in among them and became a partaker of the root of the olive tree with its richness do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you who support the root but the root supports you. You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.’ True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear—for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you.”
Paul makes it clear that Gentile Christians are the wild branches that have been grafted into the olive tree of Israel.
So, when these antisemites are marching, calling for the eradication of Israel, they are calling for the uprooting and destruction of the tree you have been grafted into. In other words, while you silently stand aside as these anti-Jew, anti-G-D, anti-Bible, anti-Israel “protesters” call for the eradication of Israel, they are threatening your destruction also.
If you are a Christian, then you are a modern Jethro, Caleb, Ruth or Yael. You have been, by your professed faith in Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah of Israel, called to stand arm in arm alongside your Jewish brothers and sisters as they stand in the covenant promises of G-D.
After all, the same G-D who gave the land of Israel to the descendants of Abraham also made the New Covenant with you. If G-D cannot keep the covenant concerning the land of Israel, then what hope do you have in that same G-D to keep His covenant with you?
Today, just as in the 1940s, rising antisemitism is forcing Christians around the world to make their choice of where they are going to stand. They are either going to stand with the lies promoted by the liberal media establishment, lies of antisemitism and hatred towards Israel and the Jewish people, or they are going to stand up and speak up for Israel and the Jewish people.
Just remember as you decide, your choice will affect your faith. Your Bible clearly tells you that by your faith in Messiah, you have become a part of Israel, and a house divided against itself cannot stand.
In other words, if you are a Christian who is anti-Israel, then you are a self-hating Christian who is calling for and crying out for your own self destruction. A Christian cannot remain Israel adjacent. If you are a Christian, you are Israel.
I am not writing this because I am afraid for Israel and the Jewish people because I fully believe in His promises and covenant. My concern is for the Christians who are wavering in their support for Israel and the Jewish people at this time. Please, keep in mind the words of Romans 11:20-21: “They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear—for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you.”
