In 1970, best buds Dustin, Albert and Mark are embarking on a summer they’ll never forget. But in the midst of fun times and first loves, the boys are also being harassed by the town bully, Nick. The trio isn’t sure how to handle the situation on their own, but they get help from an unlikely ally, Jonathan Sperry, an elderly Christian neighbor.
As their friendship grows, Mr. Sperry teaches the boys lessons from the Bible. He helps them understand that they can apply the principles to real life—even in situations with Nick. The boys gain a new understanding about the bond of friendship—but even more importantly about the power of faith.
