Department store, Neiman Marcus, is canceling the word ‘Christmas‘ from their annual catalog.
As Fox News reported, Neiman Marcus’ “Christmas Book,” which has been around since 1926, will this year be known as their “Holiday Book.” The design of the catalog cover for 2024 says “A Neiman’s Fantasy.”

The new take on the “Christmas Book” comes after what Fox says includes changes from supposedly unpopular new CEO, Geoffroy van Raemdonck.
“If Geoffrey and his team put as much time into running the business as they did on expressing viewpoints about DEI, we would be buying Saks or launching an IPO,” a Neiman Marcus employee said to the New York Post. Now they say their “job is at risk because of our business failure.”
The “Christmas Book” has stayed popular through the years largely due to the “Fantasy Gifts” that are advertised each year. One of the gifts this year includes a drawn carriage that belonged to 18th century royalty and is priced at $1.9 million.
This is just one of many chains that have fallen into the cancel culture category over the past few years. From Bud Light to Target and Walmart, we’ve seen all kinds of stores give in to the pressure of cancel culture. The battle just may also have some spiritual significance as well; Neiman Marcus’ headquarters of Dallas has been a place of great spiritual warfare this year as we’ve seen ministries and pastors in this area battling with sin and exposure.
As we get closer to the Christmas season, let’s not let the name of Christ be something we are afraid to say in public, but rather let’s share the joy of his birth, death and resurrection with the world around us.
