Safe Harbor is based on the true story of Doug and Robbie Smith, a Jacksonville, Fla., couple whose decision to help a friend changed their lives forever and set them on track to fulfill God’s call on their lives.
The Smiths are preparing for their retirement dream: sailing the world on their boat, the Molly Marie. But when their friend Judge Roberts asks them to look after some teenagers only until space opens up in juvenile hall, the Smiths agree.
The boys discover that working and living on the couple’s boat doesn’t seem much better than juvie. As days turn into months, the Smiths are able to help the boys turn their lives around. The couple realizes that true treasure is found in these young men right in their own hometown.
