As second in command in a gang, Sean Smith Sr. didn’t know if he would live that night after Jesus saved him and delivered him of drugs. Driving to his prearranged gang meeting, Sean prayed, “Jesus, if You’re real, get me out of this.” Sean knew that if God didn’t do a miracle on his behalf, he would be killed for trying to leave the gang. Standing strong as a Black man who had earned his position of leadership the hard way, the gang leader kept looking at Sean trying to figure out what had changed.
“You don’t belong here any more,” the gang leader said, and from that moment Sean was excommunicated from the gang. This was his entrance into Christianity. His prophetic voice joins others God is raising up to summon the end-time church to radical obedience to Jesus.
After pastoring for several years, Sean met his spiritual father, Lou Engle, through The Call. Through prophetic prayer, the two men interceded for the ending of the racial divide in America. Now he travels, releasing the roar in men and women to rise up to their full capacity in Christ.
Release the roar in your life. Like Sean’s, your life can change in an instant when Jesus Christ becomes the Lord and Master of your life. If you’re in a tight spot, believe God to rescue you and place your feet on a new path.
