The ‘praying grandma’ from January 6 has been convicted of four federal misdemeanors.
As Fox News reported, the 71-year-old grandmother has been convicted of “entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol.”
Despite her conviction, the grandmother, Rebecca Lavrenz, is sticking close to her faith in God.
“God will make sure to take care of me, whatever it is because He’s the one I live my life for,” Lavrenz said to KRDO 13.
Lavrenz believes God wanted her to be there that day to pray for America. As she faces federal prison, Lavrenz says that God still has a bigger plan for her life.
As the Gazette reported, Lavrenz is convinced, “…God wanted it to turn out this way so my voice could be amplified. We have to wake up our country.”
Lavrenz stands by her conclusion that God led her to the Capitol on January 6. However, it pains her to believe she is facing these penalties.

“My own country is treating me like a criminal. I’m here because I love my country. America is worth saving and I won’t give up,” Lavrenz wrote on X.
Lavrenz isn’t the only one upset about her guilty verdict. Former President Donald Trump unleashed his fury on Truth Social with the announcement of her conviction.
“…’J6 Praying Grandma,’ has been unfairly targeted by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, and now faces up to 1 YEAR in prison for peacefully walking around the Capitol, and praying for our Failing Nation on January 6th!” Trump said.
Lavrenz is from Falcon, Colorado, where she owns a bed and breakfast.
