Entrepreneur, devout believer and strong supporter of President Donald J. Trump, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell said, “Let everyone know—don’t worry—Donald J. Trump will be president for four more years.”
The astonishing comment is balanced by the dramatic difference between what people witnessed in Washington, D.C. Jan. 6, both during the rally of nearly 1 million people and the subsequent march to the Capitol.
First, it is important to understand the context of how things happen in Washington, D.C. The so-called “occupation” of the Capitol—ranging from surrounding it, to occupying hallways, to taking over individual offices and literally whole areas of the Capitol with hundreds of demonstrators—is routine. Capitol Police are well trained and capable of balancing First Amendment rights with basic safety.
Just recently, many people complained to Capitol Police that, even during the virus situation, a large liberal group entered and conducted a sit-in in the Capitol. Often, leftist groups like this are allowed to protest with the support of radical members of Congress, and the police are very professional.
The practice honors the First Amendment, and police don’t intervene unless protesters refuse to leave when ultimately told to do so. In that case, they are gently arrested and always released on their own recognizance.
After nearly a year of leftist demonstrations that burned, destroyed and violently attacked people, it is totally biased against believers and conservatives for last week’s events to have been handled the way they were.
The day was peaceful, with police letting people in to both the Capitol grounds as well as to the Capitol itself, with some scuffles as the police tried to control the crowds so they would enter safely. There was a clear presence of antifa-related thugs who tried to break the glass of windows, which was completely unnecessary as the doors were being opened, albeit carefully so there would not be a rush of the crowds.
It is biased against believers and conservatives that the one time they stood up and participated in their constitutionally guaranteed right to petition their representatives, that event was hijacked by leftist radicals to derail the very investigation the president’s supporters were asking for. Congressional refusal to even investigate the fraudulent election frustrated many and even symbolized the ultimate betrayal people felt when Vice President Mike Pence refused to stand up for their rights to have their votes honored.
This also reveals the overwhelming hypocrisy of Congress, who passively watched a nearly year-long rampage of violence, plunder and murder by antifa and Black Lives Matter supporters but then arose in objection and persecution the one time the godly men and women finally stood up and said, “No more.”
In the midst of the anger at the betrayal and failure of their leaders, Mike Lindell, who was in Washington this past Wednesday, says, “Please give everybody confidence that Donald J. Trump will be our president for four years. A lot of evidence will come out this week, and everyone needs to be praying for protection for those of us standing up to this as it is the only time we have to fight this evil and suppress it.”
Lindell continues, “This is a blessed time in that the election, thanks to all of us who voted, had so many voters—6 million more than they had planned—that it broke the algorithm they were planning to use to cheat. If it has not broken the algorithm, we would be all waking up the next morning, and it would have all been over. Instead, we got 6 million more votes than they planned—over 80 million, and Biden didn’t even get 68 million.”
“I want America to see what I have seen,” says Lindell. “This is a fight for everything this country stands for, and I want everyone to know that, 100%, Donald J. Trump is going to be president, and we need all to be praying for God’s will and for protection for all the people involved.”
Lindell ends with a message of hope and a call to action for believers: “I don’t want anyone to lose faith. Everyone, keep praying. If you are looking for what to pray for, pray for God’s will and for protection for all involved. This isn’t something we cannot be complacent about, as this is a fight for everything we believe in.” {eoa}
