In a recent prophetic message, Jonathan Cahn issued a dire warning about the consequences faced by those who mock God, highlighting instances such as the death of a Turkish member of parliament and emphasizing the lessons to be drawn from these events.
While many may believe that the God of the Old Testament is different from the God of today, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Scripture says that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. And the God whose name is holy and should never be desecrated has reminded people of who He is in several recent events, such as the moment that a member of the Turkish parliament was struck down dead after cursing the Jewish people and their God.
“Even if you escape the torment of history, you will not be able to escape the wrath of God (Allah). I greet you all with respect,” the member said before immediately collapsing to the ground, dead.
“He called down a curse from heaven on Israel, and he was struck dead,” Cahn said.
The Great ‘I AM’ inserted Himself into this situation. There are no other gods before Him, and He has His hands on the Israeli people. Those who mock Him, those who curse Him, will find themselves cursed.

Not only will God strike down those who curse His people, but He will send warning signals to those placed in authority for His glory that turn away from Him.
Just as Pope Francis decided that he could bless same-sex unions as godly even if not biblical, God now is showing Himself to be the One who has the power to take away the mantle of the pope. How is He doing this?
On Dec. 17, the Pope’s birthday, a statue of the apostle Peter was struck by lightning. On the surface, this may seem like pure coincidence—until you look a bit further into it. The pope is said to have the position succeeded by the apostle Peter, and the location of the statue—Argentina, in Buenos Aires—is where Pope Francis is from. No longer does this seem to be pure coincidence, but rather a warning from God. What the Pope has blessed is not from God, and it does not have His approval.
The part of the statue that was struck is also significant; the right hand that held keys, symbolizing authority, is now gone. The keys of authority given to the pope have been taken away.
“If you go outside the will of God, you can’t wield the authority of God,” Cahn said. “If you disobey the ways of God, you have no authority. And if any man goes against the will of God and instructs others to do the same, they have no authority at all.”
These incidents are clear warnings with a clear purpose: there is no other god but Yahweh, and He is the one with all power and authority. It is His words and His words alone that speak the truth, and to go outside of these words and falsely proclaim something else as truth is to lie about the Holy Lamb of God.
