Jada (Siena Goines) is a single mother struggling to raise her two children. When a local pastor (Clifton Powell) hears about her plight, he decides to reach out to Jada. The pastor also discovers that gangs are pressuring her son, so he introduces her to former gang member Simon Williams (Rockmond Dunbar), who takes Jada’s son, Jamal (Jason Weaver), under his wing.
Simon and Jada also share their love for God and together they begin a life centered on their church, their trust in each other and in those around them.
