Did Will Smith become a Christian?
This is a question worth asking after his BET Award performance which was the first time he has been on display at an award show since he slapped Chris Rock in the face for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith at the 2022 Grammys.
Now, Smith has returned with an inspirational song featuring Christian artist Fridayy and Sunday Choir Service called, “You Can Make It” which used references to Psalm 23.

Tryna heal but the battle’s uphill / And if God is for real / You just wonder if He’ll listen / So many tests for the flesh / Exhausted, gasping to catch your breath / Walking through the valley of the shadow of death / And when you think you’ve got nothing left / Keep going

Smith also references heaven and hell in regard to trials and tribulations.

The darker the hell you gotta endure / The brighter the heaven you get to enjoy
Smith’s unexpected song comes after a video earlier this year surfaced of Smith discussing how no amount of money or possessions in the world can completely fill someone up.
“You just realize none of it can make you happy. Once you’ve bought everything you want and there’s literally nothing on earth else that you want to buy, you know I just wish that was a gift that everybody could have because there’s nothing that material can do to satisfy you. It’s like drinking salt water,” Smith says.
During this time, pray for Smith and his family. As his eyes are opened to the truth of about the lack of fulfillment that materialism offers, pray that Smith would be receptive and open to the truth of the gospel.
