7 Awesome Christmas Miracles We Should Celebrate

Dec. 25 is just a blip on the screen for some people. But for me it takes at least a month to celebrate the birth of Jesus. This is why Christmas is referred to as a “season.” The miracle of the incarnation is simply too wondrous to be limited to one day.

When we study the details of the coming of Christ in Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1-2, we discover that Christmas is a series of miracles. This year I’m pondering each of the supernatural moments that occurred in the lives of the ordinary people who played starring roles in God’s plan of redemption.

Zacharias’ miracle. God sent John the Baptist to prepare the way for Jesus. The Lord chose a Jewish priest named Zacharias to be the father of John, but Zacharias was doubtful of God’s plan—even though an angel delivered the news. Zacharias was struck mute, and he didn’t speak again until his infant son was ready to be circumcised. After Zacharias got his voice back, he delivered one of the most powerful prophecies in the Bible (Luke 1:67-79). Zacharias learned that God must discipline us if we want Him to use us.

Christian Pastors Reconcile After Heated Flat Earth Debate

In a bold demonstration of unity, two prominent Christian pastors, Greg Locke and Dean Odle, have come together to reconcile their differences following a contentious debate on the topic of the Earth’s shape. The debate, which took place on Dec. 2, 2023, at Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, saw Pastor Locke and Pastor Odle passionately arguing for their respective views on the matter.

Pastor Locke, who believes in a spherical Earth, and Pastor Odle, a proponent of the flat-Earth theory, engaged in a heated discussion that ultimately ended with an abrupt halt, police intervention and a shattered sense of unity. However, both pastors have since recognized the importance of putting their differences aside. Speaking at his church on Sunday, Dec. 17, Pastor Locke explained that he had reached out to Odle to address the debate.

“We’re as guilty as anyone else, we’ve fought stupid battles. We fought one a couple weeks ago,” Locke shared referring to the Shape of the Earth debate that took place.

Franklin Graham Slams Pope Francis’ Endorsement of Same-Sex Unions

Franklin Graham, son of the renowned evangelist Billy Graham, has strongly criticized Pope Francis’ approval of a measure allowing Roman Catholic priests to offer blessings to same-sex couples. Graham, who heads both the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, warned that these “blessings” will not “save you from the judgment of God.”

In a Facebook post on Monday, Graham referred to the Bible verse Isaiah 5:20, stating, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…” He emphasized that no one, including the Pope, has the right to “bless” what God considers sinful. He further urged individuals to seek God’s forgiveness through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, as the Bible warns of destruction for those who forsake the Lord (Isa. 1:28).

The Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of Faith issued a declaration titled “Fiducia Supplicans,” which expands the understanding of blessings and allows for the possibility of blessing couples in irregular situations, including same-sex couples. The document states that a thorough moral analysis should not be a precondition for receiving a blessing and that individuals need not claim moral perfection to receive one.
