Gen Z is embracing faith and spirituality at unprecedented rates in an era where atheism and secularism reign supreme.
In a new study done in the U.K. by the Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life it was found that “69% of respondents within the 18-24-year-old bracket believe their faith significantly impacts their lives.”
In a time that has become known for youth leaving the church, that is a massive number of people who believe God should at least be somewhat part of their lives.
The study also found that “72% of respondents within the 18-24-year-old bracket find faith helps them find purpose in life, in contrast to 47% of respondents aged 65 plus.”
The study further broke down how young adults of different faith backgrounds felt about sharing their beliefs with others. When it comes to Christian and Jewish GenZers, 38% would prefer not to discuss their faith values with others.

Here in America, Gen Z has become a bit of a divisive group, with some gravitating toward the LGBTQ movement while others are heading for revival.
Chris Worthington for example, is an up-and-coming Gen Z faith-based filmmaker with his new movie “Multiplied,” which features the evangelistic crusades held by Daniel Kolenda.
In an interview with Charisma Media, Worthington discussed how he wanted to explore the idea of what the future of evangelism would look like after the passing of both Billy Graham and Reinhard Bonnke.
“I thought to myself, ‘well, who better to interview about this than the person who’s succeeding Reinhard Bonnke?’” Worthington says.
From this decision to interview Bonnke’s successor, Daniel Kolenda, Worthington ended up on a global production, creating a film all about the heart of God for His people. It’s members of Gen Z like Worthington who are making a difference for the next generation to meet Christ.
As we’ve seen revival break out on Asbury and campuses across America throughout 2023 and 2024, this is the time to continue to pray and press in for the next generation that God is building up to be His hands and feet.
