Right now, we are in a period of time to engage in prayer, repentance and fasting.
Looking at the Hebrew calendar, we are in the middle of a time of mourning and repentance during this Hebrew month of Tammuz, signifying a time when the Jews became strangers to the Promised Land.

As Curt Landry Ministries notes, this is a “significant period of time of ‘pressing down,’ when the enemy has historically attacked Israel in numerous ways throughout the generations.”
And because the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking to devour his prey, this is the time that we as Christians must also seek the Lord’s face as well. As our world continues to grow darker, the time for prayer and fasting has also become apparent to Lou Engle as well.
Lou Engle Ministries is currently in the middle of a three-day Esther fast for the trajectory of America, specifically for revival, the breaking of witchcraft and for a covering on God’s daughters who have been called as warriors in the spirit.
“We’re on the second day of this three-day Esther fast,” Engle says in a video posted on Facebook. “Thousands around the nation are fasting and praying in this most significant moment. The interesting thing is that Esther commanded Mordecai to mobilize the three-day fast.”
Engle pointed out how the people fasted for Esther because she was about to go before the king for him and give plead her requests to him.
“She was in a do or die moment. That’s why she said ‘fast for me,’” Engle says.

This fast comes before Engle’s initiative of A Million Women, which is slated for October 12, where women from around the country will gather together on the D.C. Mall to call out to the Lord for the sake of our nation.
