For we which have believed do enter into rest. —Hebrews 4:3
When the divine has the full control, then all earthly cares and anxieties pass away. If we live in the Spirit, we are over all human nature. If we reach the climax God’s Son said we had to come into, we shall always be in the place of peace.
Jesus said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7). Jesus was the manifestation of power to dethrone every evil thing. He always dealt with the flesh. It was necessary for Him to say to Peter, “Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men” (Mark 8:33). Everything that interferes with your plan of putting to death the old man is surely the old man comforting you, so that you will not act to crucify the flesh.
It is a rest in faith, a place where you can smile in the face of any eruption. No matter what comes, you will be in the place of real rest. (Matt. 11:28-29).
By faith, Lord, I enter into Thy rest in which
there is perfect peace. Amen.
