Whether it’s leading a business, counseling at a church, or caring for the sick, Oral Roberts University offers numerous online degree programs for adult learners and non-traditional students. ORU’s Online Learning program offers the same Whole Person Education traditional students enjoy but is more convenient and can be earned in less than four years.
30-year-old Amed Poveda is an active-duty Air force officer who lives in Maryland with his wife and two children. During the day, he works at Andrews Air Force Base and in the evenings, he does his school work online. Poveda says while some classes in business administration are more demanding than others, he loves the fact that he doesn’t have to be logged in at a certain time. Poveda says his decision to enroll through the GI Bill was “pretty much a no-brainer”.
ORU’s courses are also set apart by instructors who teach from a Christian worldview. That’s why Adrianna Lugo—Saenz chose ORU Online Learning. “I had looked into other programs, but when I read the ORU Honor Pledge, I knew I had found what I was seeking because that code was describing God’s heart and that’s what I wanted as the foundation of my education,” Lugo-Saenz said.
ORU Online Learning offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Christian Caregiving and Counseling, Church Ministry, RN to BSN completion, and Leadership Studies. Students can earn a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Government, or Biblical Literature. ORU also offers master’s degrees through the Graduate College of Business and Education. In most cases, students can take classes year-round with two terms in the fall, two terms in the spring and two terms in the summer. The courses are taught by fully credentialed on-campus faculty.
Once students have completed the program, they not only receive a diploma, but are also invited to take part in graduation ceremonies on campus. To learn more about how you can become a graduate of ORU’s Online Learning program and to get enrolled right away, go to oru.edu/comfort.
