Do you remember the time when you received or purchased your first Bible? Can you imagine living in a country where Bibles were forbidden for over 70 years?
World Missions Alliance works in 20 nations, and in most of them, Bibles are either not available or are difficult to purchase. Today, in the 21st century, there are still people in the world who have never held a Bible.
Helen Todd, co-founder of World Missions Alliance, was one of them as she grew up in the former Soviet Union. She received Christ through a gospel tract smuggled into the country by missionaries and received her very first Bible five years later!
Moldova, a former Soviet Republic, is one of the nations where World Missions Alliance works. It is considered the poorest country in Europe. Poverty, human trafficking and hopelessness are what the Moldovan people face as their daily reality.
On one of our trips to Moldova, we handed a Bible to an elderly woman in a nursing home. She broke down in tears. She had dreamt of having one since she was a child and had given up hope.
A simple gospel tract changed Helen Todd’s life and destiny, imagine what you can do for someone by placing the Word of God into their hands.
Help us give hope and change lives in Moldova!
