[08.06.08] A book that highlights the message of Christ will be distributed to journalists and athletes during the upcoming 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
The English version, A Friendly Dialogue, translated from the Chinese best-seller A Friendly Dialogue between an Atheist and a Christian, is co-written by Evangelist Luis Palau and Chinese diplomat and atheist Zhao Qizheng. The book gives insight into the struggles Chinese atheists have with the message of the gospel while also exposing myths held about Christianity in China.
Complied from a series of recorded conversations the two had in 2005, the book explores a wide range of topics including philosophy, history, religion, science, the Bible, politics, ethics and Christianity.
“The true spirit of the Olympics—mutual respect and friendship—was at the heart of A Friendly Dialogue from the beginning,” said Palau. “That we can share those conversations, which include a straightforward proclamation of the gospel, at the Olympic Games is an incredible blessing and honor.”
Chinese publisher New World Press will reportedly provide thousands of copies of the book to be distributed at the Olympic Games’ press center, Exhibition Hall, Beijing International Media Center, Olympic Village newsstands, designated hotels, and at the Beijing International Airport.
