Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz put their rocky past behind them and rallied together in Houston a couple weeks ago for Cruz’s re-election. Could it be that God is using this alliance for His purposes in the midterm elections Nov. 6?
During the rally, Trump acknowledged the difficulties he and Cruz had experienced with each other in the past. But he praised Cruz as someone who has helped Trump tremendously with tax cuts, regulations, and all Trump has been doing with the military and with veterans.
What I found so interesting about this rally was that so many people wanted to come that it sold out, whereas when Democrats hold rallies like that, often only a handful show up. Really, all of Trump’s rallies have that kind of excitement. I’ve never seen anything like it.
That excitement for Trump and his agenda leads me to believe we’re going to see a red wave Nov. 6. As I told SkyWatch TV host Derek Gilbert when he interviewed me, I think people have seen the Democratic Party’s corruption lately—and Americans are tired of it.
But even if Republicans lose the Senate, the good choices Trump has made for our country will continue. The U.S. Embassy is still in Jerusalem. Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch are still in the Supreme Court. The regulations have already been cut. The taxes will be cut. And although a Democratic Senate may make it harder for Trump to accomplish his agenda, his successes prove he is determined to keep his campaign promises.
In a way, Trump has exceeded many of the expectations Americans had for him during his presidential campaign. After all, no one knew exactly what he was going to do, since he had no background in politics or foreign policy. But he knows how to think—and he plays two or three moves ahead of his opponents. And while sometimes I don’t appreciate his tweets or the way he talks about certain people, I am truly grateful for a president who puts the needs of his country first.
But the media won’t report on the good Trump is doing. That’s why I wrote Trump Aftershock, which is really a sequel to God and Donald Trump, in which I show how God raised up Trump for His purposes and set him in the White House. In Trump Aftershock, I detail how God has used Trump since his nation-shaking election—what I call the aftershocks no one saw coming.
As I pointed out to Derek in the interview, the issues most people have with Trump have to do with his personality, not his policies. Even liberal voters must be happy about the extra money in their pockets because of Trump’s tax breaks. I document all this and more in Trump Aftershock, which comes out on Election Day, Nov. 6.
