Recently while ministering in Italy, I had a profound dream that marks what I believe God is saying to the church in this new season.
In the dream, I found myself standing in front of a large house that appeared to be my home. As I opened the front door and stepped into it, the first things I saw were two large steps upward that led to a long hallway leading into the home.
As I looked down the hallway, there was a long, narrow table on the left side at the top of the steps that had wheels on it. My attention was drawn to the beautiful ornate detail on the table, inlaid with intricate design. I noticed under the table there was a U.S. silver dollar, or fifty-cent piece, that was illuminated.
Because the table was elevated two steps up, I had to kneel down on the steps and reach up under the table to grab the silver dollar. As I put my hand to the fifty-cent piece, a secret compartment opened up from underneath the table, spilling out gold and silver bars with large diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and other priceless gems of all shapes and sizes. This treasure spilled on the floor and down the steps at my feet. My immediate reaction was, “I am rich” as I began to pick up the treasure from off of the floor.
As I was gathering the treasure into my hands, I noticed five other young people in the room gathering the find with me. At first I was a bit taken aback, as I thought they were trying to take my treasure, as I was the one who found it … but I quickly realized they were part of my team. This was the end of the dream.
The Year of Jubilee and Treasures in Christ
As I pondered the dream, this is what I believe the Lord is saying to us: There is an invitation for us to come properly into the front door of the house. The two steps leading up into the house are new levels of power, influence, and glory that are being offered to us. Immediately there was a long hallway leading into the house. Hallways are always transition from one room to the next. So we are in transition as we move up in new levels of glory.
There was a long narrow table on the left side of the hall at the top of the steps. The table always represents the “Table of the Lord,” which is communion and intimacy.
Immediately I saw the U.S. fifty-cent piece under the table, which represents the “Jubilee” year. As I was reaching for the fifty-cent piece under the table, the hidden treasures spilled out at my feet, running down the steps. As we reach for the Lord in this Jubilee year and put our hand to the Table of the Lord in intimacy and communion, the true, hidden riches and treasures that are in Christ will open up and spill upon us!
I believe we are in a season of great transition, and those who seek the Lord for the true heavenly riches in this Jubilee year will find them. Along with the hidden treasures of Heaven that spill out upon us, there is favor, blessing, and anointing that will tangibly result in spiritual and physical advancement. But we must put our hand to the table of the Lord in intimacy and communion in this season to find and access these true treasures.
Christ is the Great Mystic Secret of God
Revelation is the key to unlocking the true riches of Heaven in our lives. It’s the job of the Holy Spirit to bring us into this revelation by the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding. He delights in unfolding the true riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment that are ours in Christ, because He has been given to us to guide us into all truth.
“… that their hearts may be comforted, being knit together in love, and receive all the riches and assurance of full understanding, and knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge“ (Col. 2:2-3, MEV).
All of the treasures of divine wisdom and all the riches of true spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden in Jesus Christ. He is indeed the great Mystic, Secret of God! All that we have in Christ has been freely given to us by the grace of God. He delights for us to enter into His glorious provisions. The Holy Spirit longs to unfold these riches to us and enable us to walk in them. In order to receive the unfolding riches of spiritual knowledge, we must hunger and thirst for more of Christ.
“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God” (1 Cor. 2:12, MEV).
The Hidden Wisdom of Throne Room Living
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age knew it. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written:
This hidden wisdom has been hidden not from us but for us. It was hidden so it could be revealed to us for our glory. The Holy Spirit has been given to us to accomplish the task of continually unveiling these riches to us. He delights to bring us into these heavenly realities. The Father has given Him to us so we can know the riches freely given to us by our God. Jesus told us that things are temporarily hidden only as a means to revelation, and that we were to be careful as to what we set our attention upon.
“For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed; neither is anything kept secret except to be proclaimed. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. The measure you give will be measured for you, and to you who hear will more be given” (Mark 4:22-24, MEV).
Jesus said that the measure of thought and study you give, even to the truth you hear, will be the measure of virtue and knowledge that comes back to you. Paul also encouraged us to set our attention above.
Raised to a New Life in Christ
“If you then were raised with Christ, desire those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth. For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God” (Col. 3:1-3, MEV).
We are to keep our focus on “living from above.” If we keep our focus on even the good things in the lower realm, Paul said that this would be the degree of virtue (power) and revelation (knowledge) that would come back to us. When our attention is set on throne room living, everything that is accessible in that realm will come back to us in full measure. Paul strongly encouraged us to keep in the center of our thoughts the reality that:
“[We] have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God” (Colossians 1:1, AMPC).
