Let me first say that this article is not intended to be political. I don’t follow or engage in a lot of political discussion. At the end of the day, I don’t want to watch much news, simply because there are so many “breaking news stories” in just one day that it is almost mind-boggling and mind-blowing and seems too much to process all at once. Obviously, we Christians know what this is about: the time is drawing near.
“When these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption is drawing near” (Luke 21:28).
Over the past several weeks, God showed me numerous attacks that the enemy is attempting to make against our president, Donald Trump. As I was praying about the attacks against our president, the Lord began to connect the dots. He started showing me how this person was connected to that group, and that group was connected to another group; and how particular events weren’t accidents, but rather planned out; and also how particular statement weren’t just comments blurted against him, but were strategic in nature.
I am not saying that any president is above the law; nor am I saying that “we the people” shouldn’t seek out political truth in all matters. I am saying that something in my spirit didn’t feel right about some of the things surrounding our president lately. As Christians, I think we need to be very careful to remember a few things concerning politics:
- Never put your faith in a government leader. I have seen too many leaders over the years go down for things none of us knew about. And all too often, they shift in their outlook, from Republican to Democrat; or they have this specific view once they get into office and then shortly change to an opposing view.
- Never assume we have a pastor in the Oval Office. We don’t vote for our pastor to fill the Oval Office. We vote for a president to take the lead of our country. This requires skill and top secret intel beyond our understanding. Make no mistake: God knows every president that has ever been in office and He knows of every president that will eventually be there. Ultimately, whether the individual is Democrat, Republican or Independent, God will have His way in the end.
Again, I am not pushing any political party in this article. Regardless of whether or not we agree with President Trump, we are obligated to pray for this person who is in office.
This is a reminder of how we can pray:
- Safety over our president and government leaders.
“I will both lie down in peace and sleep; for You, Lord, make me dwell safely and securely” (Ps. 4:8).
- Wisdom and godly counsel to surround our leaders.
“And Jehoshaphat further said to the king of Israel, ‘Inquire today the word of the Lord on this'” (2 Chron. 18:4).
- Honor. We must pray that honor fills our land.
“He who follows after righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness, and honor” (Prov. 21:21).
As I was praying about all of this over the last three weeks, this is what the Lord said:
Over the President of the United States
“I have released a flaming torch that will go before you. This torch will reveal the snares of your enemy before you step your foot. This torch will outnumber your adversaries to the hundreds. I have set before you a flame that will not burn out. This flame will incinerate the entangled cords and secretly hidden snares that have been set within your path. You will not trip over stones, nor will you fall into deep pits. I have lit the way before you. I will take one mistake from your enemies and cause it to go into another mistake; even then I will still reveal one more. Your enemies will walk from mistake to mistake. I have released a flaming torch that has gone before you; this burning flame will be like a ‘bull-shark of a man’ against your adversaries. He will route your enemies into retreat and defeat.
American Will Hear My News Now
“Many have said ‘I believe this person should go; I believe that person should leave.’ But this is NOT what I have said in all cases. Even this summer I will say who should leave and who should stay. You will hear people all over say, ‘Did you hear the news. Did you see the news? I can’t believe this person is leaving. Who would have thought this person would go?'”
There will be many key position changes in many different parts of the world, from politics, to businesses, to churches, and to local communities. It has already been set in motion.
A little teaching here: This does not mean that our president will make perfect decisions, nor does it mean that he won’t have any conflict or trouble while serving as the president. I repeat: this word doesn’t imply that he will make perfect decisions! We all live in a fallen world and so do all the individuals in our governments. What it does mean is that God takes seriously His plans for every country on earth and what He wants to fulfill through each government leader. {eoa}
