Prophecy: I Hear the Roar of Intercession Shaking the Heavenlies

Can you hear the roar of intercession?

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to be a guest speaker on a prayer conference call. While preparing to minister, I heard the Lord speak to me about the roar of intercession being released within our nation. Since that time, I have heard in my spirit the low rumble of a roar as it revs up to release a crescendo of thunder, shaking the heavenlies and the demonic powers wreaking havoc in our land. I am releasing this word to encourage the intercessors in our nation and the nations of the earth, and I want you to understand the power of your intercession and your position in this hour.

The Battle of the Roars

The authentic roar of intercession is right on time, coming in the midst of a counterfeit roar being released from the enemy’s camp in this hour. I cannot recall a time when witches and warlocks have publicly announced the release of spells, curses and incantations against a president and the people who support him in this nation. There is a battle in the spirit realm, and we must stand our ground in prayer and intercession because our roar comes from the King of Judah.

It is imperative to understand the reality of counterfeit in the devil’s kingdom. He is not an original; he has merely copied the blueprints of the master architect. Witches and warlocks are the counterfeit version of intercessors. Authentic prayer warriors need not wring their hands in despair or tremble at the thought of facing off demonic powers in operation. Our weapons are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Cor. 10:4). We are equipped to battle skillfully and with precision by the Spirit of God.

Paul tells us in the Word that we are not be ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Cor. 2:11). Ephesians 6:12 tells us that we do not wage war on flesh and blood, “but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” The devil likes to pretend that he is a lion, but he is an impostor. He cannot devour those who know and use their authority in Christ.Intercessors, now is the time to press in and upward with your prayers and the Word of God with greater fervency and tenacity.

The Roar Released From Authentic Incense

If we, the church, would get a revelation of intercessory prayer and the magnitude of its reach, we would give ourselves over to its position more readily. Psalm 141:2 says, “Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” Incense is a symbol of the prayers and intercession of the people going up to God as a sweet fragrance. Luke 1:10 shows us the correlation between prayer and incense as the multitude prayed outside at the hour of incense while Zechariah offered incense in the temple.

The priests in the Old Testament were to offer incense upon the altar of incense twice daily, and they were to keep it burning continuously so that a pleasing aroma was always before the Lord. Furthermore, only authorized incense could be offered on the altar (Ex. 30:9), and it was not to be used outside the temple by the people or they would be cut off. The incense offered consisted of three rare spices in equal parts: stacte, onycha and galbanum. Of all the spices listed, onycha stood out to me. The original Hebrew word for onycha is linked to a Hebrew word meaning, “to roar as a lion.”

My spirit leaped when I read about onycha because I knew it was speaking to us even now. The roar of intercession has a fragrance, and it has a sound that will not be denied. It is authorized incense before the presence of God brought to the Lord by His priests, His intercessors. Your prayers may not sound like much to you, but in the spiritual realm, they are violently opposing the devil, and they are pushing back the darkness.

It is interesting to note that witches also burn incense for protection and various other things, but their primary purpose is to invoke the atmosphere for demons to manifest. The enemy is always looking to be exalted, but it is all in vain because he has been brought low by the name of Jesus and the prayers of the saints.

The Power of Pure Prayer

I am telling you, the devil may be roaring right now, but he hears the sound of intercession rising in the land, true intercession and authentic incense, and he is scared. The roar is going forth into the territories for miles on end, and it is a warning: “You are in God’s land, devil, the real lion’s den, and you are not welcome”.

To the intercessory prayer warriors: I hear the roar of intercession erupting from prayer closets and ascending to the throne room. Angels are standing ready to be dispatched, and the Lord is engulfed in the sweet fragrance produced from your intercession and worship. Intensify the onycha of intercession, the Lion’s roar. The counterfeit does not stand a chance against the release of the authentic.

Be unrelenting, and do not be intimidated by the schemes and the counterfeit roar of the enemy. He hears the roar of the Lord resounding from you for miles away while his roar falls to the ground in defeat. Never stop releasing the fragrant incense of prayer before the Lord. Prayer aligned with the Word of God changes the course of human history. {eoa}
