I shared in a previous podcast that one of the major reasons the church is full of sin is because of modern prophets, pastors and teachers speaking falsehoods. In this episode of The Great Deception on the Charisma Podcast Network, I expand my message to explain more of why this is true and how to identify a false prophet or a destructive heresy. I also compare some of the modern prophecies I have heard on recent podcasts, YouTube and in some of the church meetings I have attended with what the Lord is always saying to His people, especially His people who are not right with Him.
A lot of what is called the work of the Holy Spirit today is not of the Holy Spirit at all, but it is another spirit being marketed as the Holy Spirit for gain by preachers. God only gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey, not to unrepentant sinners.
In this podcast, I discuss the use of false grace to excuse the condition of the church today.
I also expose the fact that even the so-called Spirit-filled churches do not seem to have the discernment of which prophecies and prophets are false since they are not really exposing them as the prophets of old did.
I use several Scriptures from the Old Testament prophets as well as the New Testament to make the points about how prophecy is being misused so much today. I also show how the true prophet is not very popular and is often hated, rejected and mistreated by the religious majority and that it has always been that way. The false prophets are loved by the people because they pronounce blessings, prosperity, health, wealth, peace and safety. So, they are praised by the people, but according to the Scriptures, those with that kind of message are not sent by God because they do not turn people from their sins by speaking these falsehoods of blessings and prosperity.
So, do you know any true prophets who are exposing the sinful condition of the church today? Do you know who the false prophets are? Is anybody exposing them? Why are they not being exposed by the so-called prophets who say they hear from God?
Consider these verses:
“Then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets will rise and will deceive many. Because iniquity will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matt. 24:10-12).
“Then the Lord said to me: The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them nor have I commanded them nor have I spoken to them. They prophesy to you a false vision and divination, and emptiness, and the deceit of their heart” (Jer. 14:14).
